Before doing this project, I didn’t know anything about global warming. I also didn’t know how serious it is and how much it can affect us and the environment.  Now I know that it’s our entire fault and we are the only one who should be blamed about global warming, that’s why it’s our responsibility to fix what we have damaged. In our daily life, we are consuming so much energy and by switching our lights off, lowering the temperature of the thermostat, and walking to school or work can help in reducing the emissions. The main key to succeed is by controlling our habits.    We are not asking for a lot and I think it is time we all actually do something to save energy. We all need to stop being selfish about environmental issues because it affects all of us.

UAE is taking the top spot in global warming because its energy burning up is high and emissions are spread among a small population. That is why they are trying to reduce the CO2 level. Many actions have been taken for that, planting trees in many places, which will help storing carbon dioxide that would otherwise be in the atmosphere. Trees that are placed so that they will provide shade for your house will also help it stay cool in the summer and by this way, we can save energy too. Making other people aware of the consequences of the emissions and encourage them to help in reducing the emissions by using less air conditioner, having other alternatives of transportations such as bicycles, buss or even walking and by buying energy-efficient products. We can all help our country and ourselves from global warming and it’s not that hard.

According to the article, which takes about a survey by a multinational consumer research group, Filipinos are one of the most aware of global warming. While UAE, unfortunately, is one of the least aware of global warming with 16% only of people knowing or hearing about it.The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a report saying that man-made emissions of greenhouse gases are responsible for the hotter nights, fewer cold days, killer heat waves, floods and heavy rains, devastating droughts and the increase in the intensity of tropical storms.  Gases like carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide are released into the atmosphere when burning fossil fuels like coal, wood and gas for energy. These gases act like the glass roof of a greenhouse and trap solar heat underneath, thus the term “greenhouse gases. UAE is considered one of the first countries that made an action to control the greenhouse gases that are contributing to global warming and signed the Kyoto Protocol.

The main effect is an increasing global average temperature. From this, many effects are happening such as, rising sea levels, altered patterns of agriculture, increased extreme weather events, and the expansion of the range of tropical diseases. Many scientists expect that as global warming continued on the arrange of 2.5°-10.4°F  over the next 100 years, it will probable have a major impact in the sea level. A rise in sea level between 3.5 and 34.6 in. (9-88 cm) is expected to lead to more coastal erosion, flooding during storms, and permanent inundation. It will also have great threats to human health as mosquitoes and other disease-carrying insects.Rising temperatures is not only affecting humans, but it also begins to have a noticeable impact on birds. Increasing global temperature means that ecosystems will change.  

It is not possible to insure whether there will be any positive benefits of Global Warming. However, it is certain that some major negative impacts are expected.

Global warming has a major impact on weather. Global warming is responsible in part for some trends in natural disasters such as extreme weather. As the climate grows warmer, evaporation will increase due to warmer oceans. Because the world is a closed system, this will cause heavier rainfall and more erosion.Global warming is effecting not only humans but also many other species. It is affecting the Ecosystems; some species are being forced out of their habitats because of changing conditions, while others are flourishing.

Everyone can help stop global warming just by using less energy when using lights, TV, computer, the dishwasher and any electrical machine in your house that uses gas or electricity.     

Greenhouse gases regulate our climate by trapping heat and holding it in a kind of warm-air blanket that surrounds the planet, although they make up only about 1 percent of the Earth’s atmosphere. They are considered one of the most effective causes of global warming.  Human’s activities are the one who started deforming and speeding up the natural process by creating more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, even more than the necessary amount to warm the planet to an perfect temperature. By driving our cars, using electricity from coal-fired power plants, or heating our homes with oil or natural gas, we release carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere. Another major source of greenhouse gases is deforestation, because fewer trees mean less carbon dioxide conversion to oxygen.

Scientists have determined that a number of human activities are contributing to global warming. As we all know the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is extraordinary in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it.There are many causes of global warming, one of the major causes is burning natural gas, coal, and oil including gasoline for automobile engines raises the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Population growth also contributes to global warming because as more people use fossil fuels for heat, transportation and manufacturing the level of greenhouse gases continues to increase. Many factories produce long-lasting industrial gases that do not occur naturally.

Scientists who study the climate are still arguing about how fast the earth is warming and how much it will warm, but they do agree that the earth is warming and that it will keep warming if we do not do anything about it.

Global warming is becoming one of the most serious and dangerous problems in the universe. In the next 10 years, a huge change is happening across the globe and in its atmosphere, and the next generation will be the most who suffer from it.   Emissions of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases that are produced mainly by the burning of fossil fuels and the clearing of forests cause global warming. These gases remain in our atmosphere for decades or even centuries.Using energy more efficiently and moving to renewable energy (wind, solar, geothermal) would extensively reduce our emissions of heat-trapping gases. Cars and trucks are another significant source; therefore, the emissions from cars and trucks must be reduced and for that there are many technologies already exist that can do this.It is not easy to avoid all the consequences of global warming, but committing ourselves to action today can help to guarantee a healthy world full of opportunity for our children and grandchildren.

        My name is ……….(non of your business) and am 19 years old and I am the youngest one among my sisters and of course, I am spoiled and I am enjoying that. I have a lot of hobbies such as swimming, traveling, watching movies (especially comedy and romance) and of course shopping. I am studding at HCT in my second year and I study Medical Lab. In my first year, I hated science and I was thinking of quitting it. As the end of the year, I got used of it, I was doing just fine, and I still do. The most enjoying part in my study was the practical, which was doing experiment in the lab and maybe doing some explosions (just kidding). For the English course, I will do a project about global warming in the blog.
